Curbside Service and Material Returns Halted: Library Proceeds with Repairs Project
Crystal Lake Public Library suspended curbside pick up service Dec. 13 as repairs and renovation work on the building proceed. The Library building is closed to the public, and staff members are packing up the contents of the Library to be moved into storage while the construction takes place.
Because no employees are allowed inside the building during the construction period, the Library cannot accept material returns from patrons. Book drops are closed, and patrons are asked to hold onto their items until the Library reopens. (Please do not return materials to neighboring libraries).
While the repairs and renovation take place, Library staff will work remotely and will continue to offer virtual programs such as storytimes, book club discussions, craft demonstrations, take-and-make activities, STEM demonstrations and cooking tutorials. Patrons can call the CLPL Call Center for help with any questions. The Library will continue to offer its eLibrary collection 24/7, where library card holders can borrow eBooks, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, music and eMagazines.
