Virtual CLPL Offers Online Storytimes, Book Discussions and More!
The Crystal Lake Public Library is bringing its resources to you. Visit the Library’s main calendar of events, located on the home page of our website, to see all the new offerings.
Virtual CLPL will provide online storytimes and childrens programs led by our Youth Services staff. Your children will love listening to their favorite storytime teachers share fun stories, songs and activities.
For adults, Virtual CLPL will use Zoom meetings and other platforms to bring patrons together for book discussions, crafts and regular program offerings, such as the English Conversation Club. Click here to visit the main calendar to see upcoming programs.
Check Out Materials Online
While the Library building itself is closed, patrons can continue to borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies, TV shows, music, comics and eMagazines from the eLibrary. All you need is your Library card. Click here to visit the eLibrary 24/7.
Learn New Skills
While you’re sheltering at home, you can learn a new skill or conduct research using one of the Library’s many online resources. Such resources include lynda.com, Mango Languages, AncestryLibrary, Morningstar Investment and US Major Dailies. Students can find school help with resources like HelpNow, which provides free one-on-one homework help, test prep, tutoring and writing lab. The Library has many other resources for students.
