Digital Services Librarian – Technical Services
Full-Time
Seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy, customer service-oriented, self-directed librarian with excellent communication skills to work at a busy northwest suburban library. This position has an emphasis on digital services, collections, communications, and maintenance.
Responsibilities also include overseeing the library’s ILS, managing library databases and electronic resources, coordinating AMH and self checks, management of SharePoint and MS Teams, vendor relations, and staff training.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science from ALA-Accredited institution
- Two years public library experience, technology experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of electronic resources and services
- Experience with RFID technology and automated materials handling
- Experience with Microsoft 365 including SharePoint and Teams is preferred
Salary: From $26.94-$33.67/hour DOQ, excellent benefits package. EOE

Youth Services – Library Technical Assistant I
Part Time
Do you love working with children?
Seeking energetic, creative, flexible, public-service oriented person to help with programming, story times, outreach, and assisting patrons at our busy Youth Services desk! Our Youth Services department serves ages birth to 8th grade and their families.
20 hours per week including morning, afternoon and evening shifts plus Saturday/Sunday rotation
Requirements:
- LTA certificate or two years of college education
- Minimum one year customer service experience
- Experience and enthusiasm working with children and families, preferably in a library or educational setting
- Knowledge of children’s books, materials and trends
- Commitment to fun and lifelong learning
