Youth Services – Library Technical Assistant I

Do you love working with children?
Join our Youth Services Team! We’re looking for an energetic, creative, flexible individual with a passion for public service to support programming, story times, outreach, collection development, and patron assistance at our busy Youth Services desk! Our Youth Services department serves children from birth through 8th grade and their families.
40 hours per week including morning, afternoon and evening shifts plus Saturday/Sunday rotation
Requirements:
- LTA certificate or two years of college education
- Minimum one year customer service experience
- Experience and enthusiasm working with children and families, preferably in a library or educational setting
- Knowledge of children’s books, materials and trends
- Commitment to fun and lifelong learning
