The Crystal Lake Public Library is accepting proposals for cleaning services for the library property as outlined in the Request For Proposal document and the Contract for Cleaning Services.

Students who live outside the city of Crystal Lake boundaries can get a Student Access Card from Crystal Lake Public Library if they attend a Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 school. The Student Access Card allows students to check out up to three books or audiobooks at a time and gives them access to library programs and online educational databases.
New kindergarten-8th graders starting at D47 schools for the 2024-2025 school year can apply for a Student Access Card starting Thursday, Aug. 1. Returning 6th-grade students must renew their Student Access Cards this year since they are switching schools. Renewals start on Aug. 1. as well.
Crystal Lake Public Library’s new Seed Library opened to the public July 1.
Stop by Adult Services, browse our collection of vegetable and flower seeds, and select the seeds you want to grow. Guests are limited to 10 packets per visit and can choose no more than two of each variety. Plant your seeds and enjoy! Then harvest your seeds and return them to share at our Seed Library (if you choose to).
