The Home of the Sparrow Holiday Giving Tree has returned to the lobby at Crystal Lake Public Library. The American Association of University Women (AAUW) coordinates the Giving Tree program and forwards all donations to the Home of the Sparrow, a nonprofit organization serving homeless women and children in McHenry County.
The tree is adorned with ornament tags listing suggested gifts. Grab a tag, buy the gift and return it unwrapped to the Circulation Desk by Dec. 30. Each tag also has a QR code, which patrons can scan and go directly to an Amazon wish list to purchase gifts. Amazon will then deliver the gifts directly to Home of the Sparrow headquarters.
