Early Voting Hours at Crystal Lake Public Library

Early voting will be conducted in the library’s Ames Room located in the lower level of the building. Accessible parking is available on Paddock Street and there is an elevator in the lobby that can provide access to the lower level.

Our Catalog is Growing!

Rolling Meadows Library and Wauconda Area Public Library District are joining Cooperative Computer Services (CCS), a group of 34 area libraries that share an online catalog. Sharing resources means our patrons have more materials to choose from when borrowing. While we add Rolling Meadows and Wauconda libraries to CCS, our catalog will have limited services from Oct. 17-20.

The library will be remain open during this transition period. You can check out materials at our Circulation Desk. Our self-checkout machines will not be available. Patrons will be able to use the catalog, but with limited functionality.

Item availability will not be accurate after close of day on Oct. 15, and features such as My Account, renewals, and placing or maintaining holds won’t be available. Access to some electronic resources won’t be possible. Find More Illinois and hoopla will have limited services.

PLEASE NOTE: We will not be able to check any materials back in until Oct. 20. Materials returned from Oct. 17-19 will be checked in as if they were returned on Oct. 20.

Visit CLPL's New StoryWalk® at Three Oaks Recreation Area

Enjoy the scenic outdoors and a good story, too, when you visit Three Oaks Recreation Area. In partnership with the city of Crystal Lake, the Crystal Lake Public Library has a new StoryWalk® feature along the new Lake Loop Trail at Three Oaks Recreation Area.

The StoryWalk® starts near The Board House and continues west a short distance along the trail. The first story on the walk is “Who Ate Steve?,” a humorous children’s book written by Susannah Lloyd and illustrated by Kate Hindley. The stories will be changed out every few months so you’ll always have a new story to look forward to.
