Ravinia Festival’s Words & Music Program
The Crystal Lake Public Library is excited to participate in the Ravinia Festival’s Words & Music program, which provides libraries with free lawn pass tickets to select summer concerts. This year’s program includes eleven concerts, taking place between July 19 and September 3.
How to Get Tickets
Stop by the Adult Services Desk to view a list of available concerts and claim your free pair of tickets. Please note that these are physical tickets and must be picked up in person; they cannot be sent by email.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one pair per household. Anyone age 18 or older with a valid Crystal Lake Public Library card is eligible while supplies last.

- Sunday, July 19 at 5:00 PM – Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO), conductor Marin Alsop & violinist Maria Dueñas: Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony and Violin Concerto (Features pre-show KidsLawn activities from 3:00–4:30 PM) – all tickets claimed
- Thursday, July 23 at 7:30 PM – CSO with Marin Alsop: Mahler’s Sixth Symphony – all tickets claimed
- Friday, July 24 at 8:00 PM – Breaking Barriers: On the Movies – all tickets claimed
- Friday, July 31 at 7:30 PM – CSO with Marin Alsop: Dvořák’s “New World” & Carlos Simon’s “Good News Mass” – all tickets claimed
